This is normal as 5 GHz 30 dBm is allowed only within 5730 - 5850 MHz (UNII-3/ISM) in country US.Īlso, egc is right as most client devices will transmit back to the router in the range of 9 to 18 dBm. ![]() # requirements, we can extend the range by 5 MHz to make the kernel # Since 5725 ~ 5730 MHz belongs to the next range which has looser # This range ends at 5725 MHz, but channel 144 extends to 5730 MHz. # 5.15 ~ 5.25 GHz: 30 dBm for master mode, 23 dBm for clients With the previous builds using US (or Haiti) was working, something has changed in the newer builds? Yes I know the wireless power is not necessary, but it can only adds noise to the trasmissione, but I had set 26db some times ago, and it was working untill now, or maybe i noticed only now, the UI showed me 23db after the update, so I was trying to figure out what is wrong Routers:Netgear R7000, R6400v1, R6400v2, EA6900 (XvortexCFE), E2000, E1200v1, WRT54GS v1.ĭamn, what a stupid, I was using the command for my R7000 instead of the iw for Atheros That said using more transmit power is often useless as the client does not have it, it can however hinder your neighbours. Maximum transmit power is dependant on channel and Domain used.
